The Me tile is a central location where it is possible to access feeds from your social networks. Through the Me tile, you can post status updates to any of your social networks, view social network feeds, or check out update notifications.

Viewing Your Own Social Networking Wall

Just as Windows Phone 8 enables you to view your friend’s Facebook Walls, you can also view your own Wall (which can include feeds from Facebook or any other social network that is connected to your phone). To do so, go to the Start screen and follow these steps:

1. Tap the Me tile.

2. Flick to the What’s New page to view your Wall.

Non-Facebook Content

If Facebook is the only social network you have configured, the What’s New page acts as your Facebook Wall. However, if you have accounts with Twitter or LinkedIn, content from those networks also appears on the What’s New page.

It’s Not All Good: Don’t Delete Me Tile

Be careful not to delete the Me tile from the Start screen. Unlike the other default Start screen tiles, it’s not obvious how to get it back: Me isn’t an app that appears on the App screen. If you intentionally or accidentally remove it and want it back, you can do so by opening the People hub and tapping your own photo at the top of the All screen. On your profile page is a Pin icon that you can tap to put the Me tile back on the Start screen. This icon appears only if the Me app isn’t already on the Start screen.
