Checking In

Windows Phone 8 enables you to check in at a location. To perform a Facebook check-in, open the Me tile and follow these steps:

1. Flick the screen to the Share page.

2. Tap Check-In.

3. Windows uses your location information to retrieve a list of nearby locations. Tap your desired location.

Custom Locations

Although being able to choose from a list of locations is handy, it might not work so well in dense urban areas. If you find that your location isn’t on the list (or if the list is too long to sort through), you can use a different method. At the bottom of the locations list are two icons. One is a Search icon, which lets you search the locations for the one you want to check in at. The other is an Add icon that lets you define your own locations.
