Coming this year with better performance, 2014 Audi A6 proudly joins the midsize luxury sedan market. Everyone must have acknowledged that, for years, the most famous Bavarian automaker, or I should say BMW 4-series,has being the ruler of this market. Is 2014 Audi A6 better enough to beat BMW on this market and being the new throne bearer?
Exterior
Although 2014 Audi A6 strongest weapon lies on its engine and technologies, it wouldn’t be hurt if we talk about its exterior, which is also fairly good. 2014 Audi A6 has nice contoured sheet-metal, nice detail and classy profile. It’s not as dandy as Audi A7, though. In this year version, Audi A6 still maintains its signature grille, which is placed really close to ground. Overall, A6 looks like mini version of Audi A4 without dandy-styled A6 touch. It is good, but just good.
Interior
2014 Audi A6’s interior gives a better impression than its exterior. Moreover, it adds high technology equipment to complete one riding experience. It’s not overstated to say that 2014 Audi A6 offers one of the best cabins among midsize luxury sedan. It is built from top notch material and has an attractive layout. The solid black interior is beautified by a dash of brown marbled-styled accent. The seats itself is comfortable and supportive, even on a long trip. The back seats have a bit narrow legroom, unfortunately. As for the technology inside the cabin, Audi had put all the effort to make it driver-friendly. 2014 Audi A6 is equipped by cruise control, tri-zone automatic climate control, pushbutton start, power windows, 6-5 inch LCD screen for audio system, LED tail lamp, heated front seat, real-time traffic data, parking sensors, Audi connect, Navigation system, Audi’s Multi Media Interface that included control navigation, audio, phone and so on, and an option for in-car WiFi. As for the safety system, A6 comes with stability control, antilock disc brake, front, knee, and full-length side airbags, lane departure system, blind spot warning and Audi Pre-sense system.
Engine
2014 Audi A6 comes with three option engine; 3.0L V-6 with 310 horsepower and 325 lb-ft torque, 3.0L V-6 with 240 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque, and 2.0L Inline-4 with 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet torque. All of them comes with 8-speed transmission (automatic or CVT) and auto-manual. Overall, 2014 Audi A6 has pretty smooth ride, but there’s some harshness that comes once in a while.

2014 Audi A6 price starts from $43,100. This price tag is more expensive than 2014 Ford Explorer.
