2014 Mitsubishi Outlander has been initially introduced at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. This vehicle is well-known as the compact crossover car that offers a combination of tall-wagon and SUV attributes. The automaker states that this new Outlander is going to be the most fuel-efficient car with the standard up to seven passengers seating. The 2014 Outlander will be offered in 3 trim levels namely ES, SE and GT.

Interior

Inside of the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, you will see that the company has improved the interior with aesthetic and ergonomic upgrades. Also, the quality and comfort have been improved as well to provide both the driver and passengers the maximum satisfaction. There will be the brand new soft-touch instrument panel along with the attractive gloss black center waterfall and good-looking wood grain trim. The cabin offers a clean look since there is no clutter found anywhere. It is larger than 2013 Lexus GS 350. In the back, you will see the small jump seats that are only meant for children as it measures only about 28-inch of legroom and about 35-inch of headroom. If you fold these back seats flat into the floor, they will be well hidden and there will be around 63 cubic ft. of total cargo area. There is also a small storage compartment in the floor that will assist to put away the luggage.

Exterior

On the outside, the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander will give you a brand new face that will look very appealing and functional at the same time. The major change will be the axing of the grille that looks like a shark nose. The other significant and innovative features on this vehicle are the streamlined front fascia and the more urbane style that emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency. Also, this SUV is apparently 200 pounds lighter as compared to the older variant of Outlander. In general, the design has taken on a slick appearance which also contributes to better aerodynamics. This car is bigger than 2014 Audi A4.

Engine

The GT version of 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander is backed up with the 3.0-liter aluminum SOHC MIVEC 6-cylinder engine that can generate a total of 224 hp at 6250 rpm and 215 pound-feet of torque at 3750 rpm. This engine is mated to a refined six-speed auto transmission. The ES and SE models boast the 2.4-liter aluminum SOHC MIVEC 4-cylinder engine that can produce 166 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 162 pound-feet of torque at 4200 rpm.
