Tuners recommend…

We asked three leading tuners what modifications they would suggest to make the Fiesta ST even better - we gave them an imaginary tuning budget of $3,750.

Jamsport

“First up you need to get the engine breathing better, so a full exhaust system and air filter are the first steps. In terms of power, next up we'd suggest uprated cams and a custom remap - this will see the power to around 180-190bhp. With the rest of the cash, fit some lowering springs and get the geometry set up properly - this will greatly improve the handling, and when coupled with the power upgrades will make for a fantastic little car."

Mountune

"We would suggest our MP185 Upgrade - which gives 180PS, and adds the 'pops and bangs' that gives the car a bit of character too. we are currently offering the MP185 kit fully fitted at Mountune HQ for $3,149 - all in. With the remaining $600 we'd definitely suggest a billet short-shift arm - they cost $247.5. Then, spend what's left of your budget on decent Ferodo pads front and rear and some Goodridge braided brake lines."

“For $3,750 you well-rounded ST. Sort the power with our ST190 kit, and maybe throw in a 60mm throttle body too - which will see you with l90-200bhp. Then, with the remaining balance sort the handling with some Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs (or AP coilovers if you like track days) and a budget 300mm brake conversion."
