If you are 35 or older and a home owner, chances are, you have a decent home entertainment set-up in your living room or bedroom, complete with a set of great speakers that is meant to last a few decades.

When your home was being renovated, you might have had no idea that audio streaming was going to be the next big thing and that speakers and receivers now support Bluetooth streaming of music from your smartphone or tablet.

You can buy a pricey upgrade of your equipment to get Bluetooth streaming, or pay just $49 for an adaptor that introduces it to an existing set-up.

Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adaptor is a no-frills device that connects to your speaker or receiver's 3.5mm jack, linking it to your tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth. It then becomes the conduit for your stored music to travel to your speakers.

If your receiver does not have a 3.5mm input jack, Logitech has you covered with an RCA connector.

Press the Bluetooth button on the device to initiate pairing. Once this is achieved, music from your device can be played back on your existing speakers.

Of course, the Bluetooth standard is not the best way to play music, as a neighbouring device can interfere with the signal.
