IPad : Using Popular and Critical Apps - Using Bento

When you want to keep track of more than just contacts and events on your iPad, you can use Bento for iPad to create and maintain a database on your iPad. You can even sync it to your Mac if you have Bento for Mac.
1.
Tap the Bento icon on the Home screen.

Tap the Libraries button.

3.
Tap the + button to add a new library.

Flip through the kinds of libraries available. For this example, we start with a blank library.

Tap the Create Library button.

6.
To add a field, tap the Pencil button.

7.
Tap the New Field element (the + symbol) and drag it down to the page to add a new field.

8.
Change the selection to Text if it isn’t already selected.

9.
Tap Create.

10.
Enter a name for the field.

11.
Tap Create.

12.
Drag a new field on to the page again, but this time select Choice as the type of field.

Lots of Field Types

Bento includes all the standard field types, such as numbers, check boxes, time, date, and so on. You can even have an image field and link it to something in your Photos albums.

Tap Create.

14.
Enter a name for this field.

15.
Tap Add a New Choice and enter the choice name of Movie.

16.
Add another choice and name it TV Show and then add a third choice of Home Video.

17.
Tap Create.

18.
Tap Done.

19.
Tap next to the first field you created to enter data.

20.
Tap next to the second field to select a choice.

21.
Tap the + button to add another record to the database. Repeat steps 19 to 21 to enter more data.
