Windows Phone 8 : Twitter (part 1) - Configuring Your Twitter Account

Windows Phone 8 devices include full Twitter integration. You can send and receive tweets directly through the phone without installing any extra software.

Configuring Your Twitter Account

Before you can use Twitter from your phone, you must link the phone to your Twitter account. You can do so by going to the Settings screen and following these steps:

1. Tap Email+Accounts.

2. Tap Add an Account.

3. Tap Twitter.

4. Tap Connect.

5. When prompted, enter the email address and password for your Twitter account.

6. Tap Authorize App.

Sending a Tweet

Using the Me tile, you send a tweet in essentially the same way you post a message to Facebook. However, tweets must be 140 characters or less in length.
