Using Group Chat

One of the nice things about rooms is that they enable you to have private chats with the members of the room. You can engage in a group chat by going into the room and completing these steps:

1. Flick the screen to the Chat page.

2. Enter the text that you want to send to the other room members.

3. Tap the Send icon.

Other Group Chat Features

Using the Group Chat feature is similar to sending a text message to members of the room. As with a text message, you simply compose your message and tap Send. However, the Group Chat screen also contains two other icons: the Speak icon and the Location icon. You can use the Speak icon to verbally compose a message. Tapping the Location icon causes Windows to create a map of your current location. This map can be sent to room members as a part of the group chat.

It’s Not All Good: Windows Phone 7

The Group Chat feature works only on Windows Phone 8 devices. It is not supported for members accessing the room from Windows Phone 7 or iPhone devices.
