A jump list
is a context menu for a Desktop taskbar icon. The list is organized
into nouns and verbs and can contain useful actions. Nouns are
categorized into pinned items, recent or frequent items, and custom
categories. Tasks are usually separated into user tasks and taskbar
tasks. What you see on a jump list is dependent on the application
developer, but there are some development guidelines for jump
lists—they are not just a list of the most recently used files that you
see on most application’s file menus.
