The 2014 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso is actually the latest global concept car from the company which has been developed for the worldwide market. In fact, this is the first time for the company to unveil the world debut of a concept model outside of Europe. The sharp styling and driving performance, the environmental performance of a small car and excellent utility of a concept car will be mixed together at a high level in this car. The automaker plans to start the local production and sales in Europe of a mass-production model based on this concept car for its market in about 3 years ahead.
Interior
The 2014 Grand C4 Picasso comes with so many signature Citroen styling cues, jazzed up with some dramatic flourishes that probably will not be on said production model. The standard interior features of the 2014 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso are the 4-seat configuration with plenty of leather and some touches of Alcantara along with the advanced infotainment system. This cabin is absolutely more spacious than 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT.
Exterior
The exterior design of Grand C4 Picasso is quite similar with company’s other concept car namely the NSX. For instance, this car has the same slit-like LED headlight configuration of NSX concept car. Also, it has been positioned a little bit higher than usual and almost too high. Below the lights, there will be the swooping contoured design which will make a visual illusion so that the headlights will look bigger. The front bumper also comes with huge air intakes with fog lights and wrapped in chrome details. Moreover, you will notice that the rear end of the Grand C4 Picasso is apparently not as ostentatious looking as the front. There will be the toned down version of beak grille, headlights that incorporate the jeweled LED elements.
Engine
In fact, the company has not released any details about the Grand C4 Picasso, including the kind of power-train it will carry. We may expect that something along the lines of a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces a shade below 300 horsepower is well suited for the concept model. If Citroen goes the route of giving the Grand C4 Picasso this engine, you can also expect it to be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and be capable of hitting 60 mph in 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 125 mph.
