Following the regular ford F-150 which has been released before, the company now expands its line up to the addition of 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor addressed to the customer with a special need of performance-oriented pick up. 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor’s model somehow will reminisce us with the retired ford Lightning’s model, but in sportier package and better fuel economy with a pair of turbo engine and fewer engine cylinder.

Exterior

As its purpose to become a sport and performance edition of the regular Ford F-150, the Tremor only offered in short wheelbase, regular-cab. It also gets FX Appearance Package to add its sporty image including flat-black trimming, red lettering black badges, and body graphics that creates aggressive manner. The exterior design of this Tremor special pick up will be completed by 20-inch flat-black wheels. That’s why this car is absolutely bigger than 2014 Mini Cooper S.

Interior

Move to the cabin, 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor shows its simplicity by offering a flow-through center console and buck seats, while covering its surface with black leather accented by red perforations and piping. It also gives a little touch of style with Alcantara seat inserts and red stitched steering wheel with brush-metal accent. There are no other excessive materials and features set to give more focus to the driver, pointed out by SYNC’s MyFord Touch with upgraded physical interface to give easier access to the climate and audio control on the center stack for drivers with work gloves.

Engine

2014 Ford F-150 Tremor claimed to be the first sport truck that equipped by EcoBoost engine technology to gain V8’s high performance but with V6’s fuel economy. Clearly, the Tremor edition offers something very distinctive than the regular F-150 in the market. Even though the regular F-150 also uses EcoBoost engine, the F-150 Tremor still comes with different and extra twist in the back end that results in better stake. FX4 4X4 and Raptor model’s 4.10 axle ratio also seemingly set up under the Tremor’s heart with an additional electronic locking differential feature that allows better traction during take off. The company has confirmed that it will be available in all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. Unlike the regular Ford F-150 which is equipped by four engine line up, 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor is exclusively offered with only 3.5 L EcoBoost engine that makes a total of 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Its good performance and satisfying fuel economy comes from the twin independent variable camshaft timing. With those specification and features, all sport truck enthusiast must be very excited and can wait until this fall to catch the F-150 Tremor.
