Exterior
This hatchback version of Nissan Versa Sedan is launched at 2013 Detroit Motor Show and then hitting the market in June 2013. This subcompact car is suitable for city ride, where its focus is getting wherever you want with less cost. For the new model year, 2014 Nissan Versa Note has given some updates in styles and substance. Under the “V” platform architecture, the hatchback is given the same wheelbase like the Versa Sedan, 102.4 inch one, that swanks more in body details. The company claims of more dynamic design which is highlighted by sharply slopped windshield, sculpted side panels, better front and rear fascia, and wide-opening rear door. Its simplicity may make as if it was left behind another line up from Nissan like the Versa Camp or the Sedan version, but the fact that this Versa Note is considered has better features like keyless ignition/entry and 360-degree parking camera has made it become the top choice among the line ups.
Price and Interior
2014 Nissan Versa Note will be available in three trim levels, which all will be labeled in very affordable price, starts at $14,780 for its S trim. This stylish car price is cheaper than 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. This could be the answer for those cheap plastic material used in the cabin and its flat interior design. At this point, 2014 Nissan Versa Note may fall behind other competitor in subcompact market though it could still boast the large total of 115.5 cu cargo room. The hatchback seems to try to bring the essential function of the vehicle solely as the transportation tools. Standard Nissan Features will be available in the cabin, including Nissan Connect with Navigation System which is integrated with 5.8 inch color touch screen, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth hands-free phones and streaming audio, and rearview and segment-first around view monitor system.
Engine
2014 Nissan Versa Note will only have one engine type, it is the 1.6 L 4V engine with 109 hp which is apparently the same engine as used for the Versa Sedan. the base S trim Level’s transmission will be the five-speed manual, while the higher trim levels such as the S Plus or SV will get the Xtronic CVT automatic. Though many drawbacks in its design and performance, 2014 Nissan Versa Note still marks the best score in its class for its mpg city rating from the EPA.
