Need a pair of headphones for your workout sessions?
Plantronics has you covered
Working out and exercising may sound like a chore to many
but it actually isn’t especially when you have friends or even the right type
of music to motivate you. This is why many headphone manufacturers have
designed countless numbers of headphones for those who lead an active
lifestyle. One of the better ones that were released last year was Plantronics’
BackBeat GO stereo Bluetooth headphones, which were affordable yet boast some
nice features.
Not much has
changed in terms of the design of the Backbeat GO 2 and this is still a good
thing as it retains its small size and light weight
So after a year, here we have the Plantronics Backbeat GO 2,
the successor to the well-received Backbeat GO. Not much has changed in terms
of the design of the Backbeat GO 2 and this is still a good thing as it retains
its small size and light weight. The wires are the flat types that prevent it
from getting all tangled up. We found the earplugs to be very comfortable and
the adjustable stabilizers makes things even better as it’ll help by making the
earplugs fit snugly in your ears. We used it while jogging and not once did it
feel like it was going to come off.
Other nice touches on the Backbeat GO 2 include the in-line
controller, which makes it controlling music playback a breeze. The protruding
buttons on the controller make them very easy to locate and they are also very
responsive. While there are only three buttons, each button actually has two
functions for example, the Volume Up button is also used to skip to the next
track, while the Volume Down button is used to replays the previous track.
We have to say it
was good as audio was crisp and clear
Now on to the most important feature of a headphone, sound
quality. Overall, we have to say it was good as audio was crisp and clear.
Sound staging was also quite accurate and there was little to no distortion at
most times. The only niggle we have with the Backbeat GO 2 is the fact that the
bass is weak. Other than just music playback, the Backbeat GO 2 also fares
quite well in the call quality department especially indoors. Outdoors however,
the position of the microphone makes it pick up a lot of noise easily.
Chip Conclude
We found the
earplugs to be very comfortable and the adjustable stabilizers makes things
even better as it’ll help by making the earplugs fit snugly in your ears
In our honest opinion, the Plantronics BackBeat GO 2 is
quite a good choice for those who want a fairly affordable pair of headphones
that boast good sound quality and also comfort. Besides, the weak bass, the
last little nitpick we have with this pair of headphones is its battery life,
which is quite short. So for our recommendation, we suggest getting the
headphones with the charging case.
