As a member of a SharePoint 2013 community site, you still can manage replies if you are not a moderator or owner of the site. Your editing capabilities, however, are limited to replies that you have authored or replies that belong to discussions that you have authored.

Mark a reply as a best reply

  1. In the Discussion list on the Home page, click a discussion title to open it.

To mark a best reply, you must be the original author of a discussion item or a moderator or site administrator.

Remove a best reply

  1. Locate a reply that has been previously flagged as a best reply. Click the More Options ellipsis (...) located at the bottom of the reply. On the menu that appears, click Remove Best Reply.

Tip

You might remove a best reply if you’ve found a better answer or if you have realized that the content in the response turns out not to be correct.

Report a reply to the moderator

  1. On a reply that contains inappropriate content, click the More Options ellipsis (...) located at the bottom of the reply. On the menu that appears, click Report To Moderator.

You can only report a response to the moderator if the Enable Reporting Of Offensive Content option is enabled by your site administrator.

Tip

Prior to reporting content to the moderator, ensure that you read the contents in the About page including the site discussion guidelines.
