2013 BMW I3 Concept Coupe is among the expansion products from “I” brand from the German automaker which makes its world’s debut at Los Angeles Auto Show. The production line of this variant will be unveiled lately. This I3 Concept Coupe will come with the electric motor-based engine along with the carbon fiber reinforced plastic for its exterior. The new i3 Concept Coupe complements the 5-door i3, as well as the i8 Concept and also the i8 Concept Spyder.

Interior

Regarding the interior, the 2013 BMW I3 Concept Coupe comes equipped with the gorgeous and luxurious features. Inside, you will see that the cabin is accented by a combination of leather, wood, raw and wool material. The company has also redesigned the steering wheel for the much better driving experience. There will be also the black accent for the control and light gray accent for the supporting features. Additionally, consumers can find the updated iDrive at the center console along with the 6.5 inches TFT display that will provide more information for the driver along the way.

Exterior

On the outside, the 2013 BMW I3 Concept Coupe has retained the standard platform of its exterior (smaller than 2013 Audi TT-RS). There are some upgraded elements found in this car which include new bumper, remodeled rear tailgate, restyled door, revised side skirt and redesigned front fascia. This car now offers a set of 20 inches light alloy wheels and tires that have been wrapped by low rolling resistance.

Engine

The engine of 2013 BMW I3 Concept Coupe has been outfitted with the electric motor. As a result, this kind of engine can provide the power-train in the rate of 170 horsepower (slower than 2014 McLaren P1). The car can reach the maximum torque in the rate of 184 pound-feet. The automaker states that this electric motor-based engine will be able to gain the power-train from a Li-ion battery to reach the range of about 100 miles. The vehicle will generate the power through a single speed direct drive transmission to the rear wheels. Buyers can opt for 3 different driving modes which include Comfort, Eco Pro and Eco Pro+.

Price

The price of 2013 BMW I3 Concept Coupe has not been announced yet. The company states that this car will go on sale in 2013 and the pricing, options, sales targets, and other details will not be announced until closer to the launch dates. The key competitor of this electric car will be the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt.
