2013 Kia Carens Comes with Several Enhancements

The redesigned 2013 Kia Carens comes with several enhancements and additions including sharper handling, capable handling with refined ride quality, more generous and top-quality interior and revolutionary safety and entertainment technology. In general, this sports sedan will now look slightly wider and taller, much stiffer and with vastly improved steering feel. Same with its predecessor, the Carens will be only available in single trim level only and it may also be offered in GS Hybrid model.

Interior

For the standard interior features, the 2013 Kia Carens will be equipped with the leather upholstery, dynamic rear steering, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and 10 ways power front seats with driver memory settings. There will be also the standard electronics features which include an eight-inch control display with touchpad interface, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, a 12 speakers surround sound audio system, a CD player, satellite radio, HD radio and a USB/iPod connectivity. An available Luxury package will add an 18-way power driver seat, upgraded leather, rear climate and audio controls along with a wood-trimmed steering wheel. The other available interior features are a hard-drive navigation system with a 12.3 inches screen, voice recognition and real-time traffic updates.

Exterior

On the outside, the Kia Carens includes 17 inches alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlights, front fog lamps, a sunroof, auto-dimming mirrors and keyless ignition/entry. If you pick the Luxury exterior package, then you will be given 18 inches alloy wheels, adaptive headlamps and adaptive suspension dampers. The Premium exterior package will add automatic rain-sensing wipers and a power rear sunshade, while the Cold Weather package will provide you with head-lamp washers and a wiper de-icer. Moreover, the F Sport package is also available for those who look for high-performance styling. This package will include special steering and suspension tuning, 19 inches alloy wheels, a sporty rear spoiler, bigger front brakes and unique exterior styling treatments.

Engine

The Kia Carens boasts a 3.5L V6 engine that can deliver 306 hp and 277 pound-feet of maximum torque. A 6-speed automatic with manual shift paddle control is the only available option. Kia Carens can accelerate from standstill to 60 MPH in just 5.8 seconds. The estimated fuel economy of this mid-size sport sedan stands at 19 MPG on city driving, 28 MPG on highway driving and 23 MPG on combined driving.
