Stepping to its 50th anniversary next year, 2014 Ford Mustang doesn’t have many offers to the market. But with its beast regular V8 performance, new technology features that included track-specific software and mobile apps, and quarter-mile sprint, Ford Mustang definitely still a big thing. The convertible and coupe Ford Mustang offers wide range of forms with its own price, starting from the lowest model of V6 with $20,000 price tag, to the new and most sophisticated Mustang that replace the previous Boss 302, 661 hp Shelby GT500 with up to $55,000 price tag.

Exterior

2014 Ford Mustang’s profile is iconic, as always. People must love how it translates the classic design in to modern era. Just like MINI and Volkswagen Beetle, ford Mustang also gets its own iconic signature in the sport car segment. This year, the company offers new paint job which is apparently become the only new thing given to sport vehicle besides upgraded technology features in the cabin. Carrying last year’s treatment to the front part, you still found the high-intensity discharged headlights and LED tail lights adorning the body. The side look is more cohesive with body-paint rocker panels. Personalization features also still available for you to freely custom your own Mustang based on your preference.

Interior

The cabin is pleasant and comfortable for a performance car. Premium material is used and creating a soft-touch finish that surely brings the luxury atmosphere. The driver will be spoiled by supportive sport seats, while Recaro racing-style seats are also available to give you more real sport ambience. Upright dash and large, deep-dish gauges with color-shifting lighting and metallic trim are nicely decorated the cockpit, while the instrument cluster is user friendly and the buttons arrangement are far from confusing. Additional 8-inch color touch screen and navigation system that included in Electronics package are available in the premium and GT500 model. The rear seats also give another comfort to the occupant, with its well-sculpted cushion, but unfortunately the Mustang doesn’t supply enough leg and headroom there that it must be very tight for the adults.

Engine

3.7 L V6 engine with 305 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque is the only option for the V6 engine line up, the GT model will have the 5.0 L V8 engine that delivers 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, while the highest level of Shelby GT500 will have the 5.8 L supercharged V8 engine that makes amazing 662 hp and 631 lb-ft of torque. unluckily, the EPA rating for all models are not satisfying enough. This is absolutely more powerful than 2014 Jaguar F-Type performance.
