Engine swapped, or style to the max? Send us your modded Blue Ovals!

Grant Mcaulay - Fiesta RS turbo

Grant first got his hands on this gorgeous little RS Turbo less than a year ago, but it was nothing like it is here. It was a bought as a rolling shell, which Grant has completely stripped, refurbished, and rebuilt. The engine was duly overhauled too, and of course didn't go back as standard.

Instead the T2-powered 1.6-liter CVH has been given a new lease of life thanks to a Scorpion exhaust, Pipercross air filter, and Superchips 165 chip. The whole thing was completed in just a month, so that Grant could take it to the West RSOC Regional Day. Given that it was built in super-quick time, the fact it's so clean underneath is very impressive, while the RS 7-spokes are the icing on the cake.

Stephen Cottam - Fiesta Zetec S TDCi

We're often faced with some tough decisions. Do I go for the economy of a diesel? Or the aggressive looks of the sporty model? Well, Stephen has the answer go for the diesel model as a base, and then transform the way it looks. He's done just that, thanks to a Triple R front splitter and bonnet lip, Gloss Black vinyl strategically placed to mimic the design of the Focus RS, and some Fiesta ST alloys re-sprayed in Gloss Black. It's a great looking car that also does big MPG. Winner!

Laura Brazener - Fiesta ZS

When it comes to modifying motors we can safely say that it's usually male-dominated. To most women 'modifying' usually means painting everything pink or covering it in stickers.

Fiesta ZS

Well, Laura is different. And listen up boys, as you can learn a lot from what she's done to her little Zetec S Fiesta. First up, the stock 1.6-liter motor has been ditched in favor of the Puma's 1.7-liter unit. The handling's been taken care of thanks to a substantial drop on coilovers and some rear axle spacers to increase the track width. Laura's even been busy loading the Fiesta up with toys too - most impressive of which is the Omex launch control system, which not only pops and bangs to an addictive note, but also significantly reduces the 0-60mph time too. No 'Powered by Fairy Dust' stickers here. Nice.

Dallas Murray - Focus ST

Focus ST

Focus ST

With the latest generation of Focus ST only being offered in five- door guise it has prompted many people to think about combining the thrill of a fast car with the practicality of a family car - but don't forget, the original ST was also available with an extra set of doors too! And, if like Dallas, you spend your cash in the right areas you can easily have a car that's the best of both worlds, combining performance and practicality.

Dallas has treated his ST to a Dream Science Mod X remap and CAIS, Milltek exhaust, and Auto Specialists inlet manifold. Some Australian-spec XR5 badges and Gloss Black are all it needs to toughen up the looks, and there you have it-a car with enough grunt to put a smile on even the most solemn of faces, yet enough space to make it a sensible daily driver.

Peter Lancett - Focus 1.8

Focus 1.8

Peter's Focus may only be a humble 1.8-liter Zetec, but thanks to some 'OEM-plus' style mods he's been busy up-speccing to create the car that he really wants. The engine hasn't been ignored with a K&N filter and cat-back exhaust ensuring it breathes easy, but it's the tweaks such as the full heated leather interior, ST170 grille and spot lights, I7in alloys, and Eibach springs that all combine to give this Focus a 'better-than- factory' spec list. And it doesn't stop there, as Peter's planning a rear disc conversion. He also has a cheeky 'Dad' number plate - we're assuming 52 isn't his age...

Mick Parr - S2 RS turbo

The Escort RS Turbo has formed part of the staple diet for the fast Ford fan for the last 20 years, and it's good to see that thanks to guys like Mick its following is still just as strong. Mick's mint example is running 213bhp, and that's sticking with the 1.6-liter CVH - proper old school power. That power plant is kept looking its best with a selection of under bonnet bling and dress up parts. It's a very tidy example of theMk2 RS Turbo, with nice mods that enhance both the looks and performance.
