The Sign In screen

The Sign In screen lets you do the following:

• Turn on ease of access tools. Click the Ease of Access button to view a menu that lets you select the different ease of access tools.

These tools help impaired users work with Windows by substituting other functions for sight, touch, and sound. Narrator reads the screen options aloud. On-Screen Keyboard lets you perform keyboard entry with your mouse. Magnifier gives you a zoomed-in view of the screen. StickyKeys allows you to activate the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys one at a time. High Contrast turns your screen black and white. Filter Keys lets you ignore or slow down brief or repeated keystrokes and adjust keyboard repeat rates.

• Access the power functions. Press the Power button to view a menu where you put your system to sleep, shut it down, or restart it.

• Click the Change User button to go to an account screen where you can switch to a different user account.

You see the Change User button only when two or more accounts are activated.

• Press the View Password as Text (eye icon) button to view your entered password as clear text.

• Press the Log In button to open the tile-based interface Start screen.

To change the Account picture

1. Open the PC Settings Personalize screen (see previous section).

2. Click the Account Picture link .
