The 2014 Lexus IS 250 is much better than its previous model. In 1998, when was its very fist debut, Lexus presented a remarkable and conservative design to the market. From a quick look, there is no huge change from the previous series of Lexus. The improvements were so minor, except the new nose and some LED lights. From the inside, the IS made some new improvements form the transmission and the suspension system.

Exterior

An aggressive style takes over the look of this 2014 Lexus IS 250. Altered suspension, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and unique instruments cluster are amazing yet extreme for the exterior. The character line that comes up from below the door and the taillights stretch around the rump make this car a little bit dramatic among other sport sedans. Besides that, the front-end styling is a bit over-the-top, which makes this four-door sedan little bit edgy on the street. But for some, the look of 2014 Lexus IS is a bit confusing and boring.

Interior

The inside of the car looks sporty with a steering wheel inspired by LFA-style, quiet cabin and symmetric dashboard. The steering wheel not only appears with a good style, but also with comfort handling. The combination of red leather seats and black leather upholstery on the doors and dash really makes this vehicle sporty inside. Coming with wider room interior, superbly shaped front seats and overall improvement for the interior, the IS is something to be considered. And with a blind-spot monitor, radio system with free real time weather/traffic info and a rear cross-traffic, these features come to enjoy you with a pleasure driving experience.

Engine

Under the hood, 2014 Lexus IS 250 launches with two engines, a 2,5-liter V-6 in the and 185 lb-ft of torque IS 250, and the 3,5-liter V-6 and 277 lb-ft in the IS 350, which this IS comes with eight-speed automatic. The ultra-quick box in IS 350 surely can blips the throttle in manual mode. Both engines are provided with 204-306-horsepower, rear and all-wheel drive, and Drive Mode Select system that can control the throttle response and chassis. The IS 250 and IS 350 use an intake-noise engine-sound-enhancing generator. With this performance, the IS is great through the twisty roads. Others may say that its carryover engine still remain unimpressive mpg. For overall this car is less powerful than 2014 Bugatti Veyron performance.
