The 2013 Kia Cadenza is basically a practical 4-door hatchback that comes with competitive price in the market. Even though this car comes wit an inexpensive price, but it has been equipped with hipster styling, solid body, decent engine and attractive interior and exterior features. Kia Cadenza will be offered in 3 main trim levels.

Interior

The interior features of 2013 Kia Cadenza base will be the two-tone interior color scheme, air-conditioning, height-adjustable driver seat, cloth upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, trip computer, front-seat side airbag, Bluetooth phone connectivity, 4-speaker sound system, auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface. The optional features are the keyless entry, rear privacy glass and cruise control system. The Cadenza model provides the dash-top and center console storage bins, faux metallic interior accents and 2 additional speakers. You may also have the Audio Upgrade package which includes rearview camera, and the 8-speaker Infinity sound system with tricolor speaker lights and HD radio. The car comes equipped with the heated front seats, automatic climatic control and a navigation system with real-time traffic and a touch-screen interface.

Exterior

The standard equipments of Cadenza are the 15 inches steel wheels (16 inches optional), variable intermittent wipers, rear defogger and rear window wiper. The car has the 16 inches alloy wheels and sunroof which has been bundled with the fog-lamps. The upper model includes 18 inches alloy wheels, sunroof, power-folding outside mirrors, upgraded headlights, fog-lamps, LED daytime running lights along with the hounds tooth pattern two-tone upholstery.

Engine

The front-wheel-drive (FWD) model of Cadenza is made available in 2 different engines. The Cadenza base comes equipped with the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine which can produce 138 horsepower (slower than 2014 Volvo XC60 and 2014 Ford Explorer) and 123 pound-feet of torque. The standard transmission will be the 6-speed manual which includes the hill-start assist function. The optional clutch is the 6-speed automatic without hill-start assist function. The car owns the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that can generate 164 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The transmission options are actually the same as the base model, except the upper trim comes with the only automatic transmission. The car can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 8.8 seconds.

The price range of 2013 Kia Cadenza starts from $14.400. The key competitor of this car will be the Nissan Cube, Honda Fit, Chevy Sonic, Ford Fiesta and Scion xB in the segment of conventional small hatchbacks.
