Named as another fastest super car form Aston Martin besides the Aston Martin One-77, 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S will be ready to hit the market and joining the competition among the rest super car by the end of this year. The car is finally unveiled as the next generation of the outgoing V12 Vantage after the company throwing 2 teaser clips to public.It seems that this British Company has done enough on teasing the automotive lovers about their newest super car line up and starting to announce full details of their newest supercar.
Exterior
The new Aston Martin V12 Vantage S clearly receives new grille and bumpers that is inspired from the CC100 Speedster Concept. The aluminum propeller that is used for the outgoing V12 Vantage is also replaced with a new carbon fiber structure which includes sporty black carbon fiber or titanium silver mesh too. Something that still retained by the new V12 Vantage S is the firm bonnet vent and flared wheel arches which is now coming with the combination of different optional exterior graphicpacks including black painted roof, revised rear bumper, and part-painted boot panel. It also becomes 15kg lighter compared to the standard V12 Vantage with weight measurement of 1,665 kg.
Interior
Costumers can choose three options for cabin upholstery including Semi-aniline, Luxmil, and Alcantara leather based on their preference. 2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S also gets new styling for the sport seats and addition of carbon fiber lightweight seat options for the costumers. Stitching and sole datails also comes in revised styling. For the first time ever, the company also offered Carbon Fiber Interior Pack with addition of carbon fiber fascia and door pulls along with black pedal.
Engine
2014 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S gets big upgrade for the performance issue compared with its predecessor. It will use racing technology including damping system that developed by Bilstein, Brembo brakes, and two-stage Dynamic Stability Control by Continental that are commonly found on Vantage GT4, GT3, and GTE Competition cars. Drivetrain still comes from AM28 6.0 L V12 engine that gains 55 more horse power to 565 and increase 37 lb-ft of peak of torque to 457 lb-ft compared to the regular V12 Vantage. The engine will be coupled with firstly debuted 7-speed automatic transmission that called Sportshift, replacing the old 6-speed manual transmission. It will run from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds and reach its top speed of 205 mph.
Price
The price information will be available following the release date. It is expected to have a healthy gap from the regular V12 Vantage’s $181,500 (cheaper than 2013 Aston Martin DBS Ultimate and 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster).
