The 2014 Volvo XC60 comes with a sportier look, a more dynamic driving experience and more power from the turbocharged six-cylinder engine. The company has also included the innovative dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system to the optional packages of this sedan. This crossover SUV will be made available in 3 different trim levels namely T5, T6 and T6 R-Design.

Interior

The standard interior features of 2014 Volvo XC60 are the heated mirrors, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power driver seat with memory functions and adjustable lumbar, power-folding rear head rests, leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, T-Tec cloth upholstery, Bluetooth connectivity, 8-speaker sound system with CD player, HD and satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and an iPod/USB audio interface. The T6 model boasts a varied steering tuning with selectable settings, leather upholstery and the auto-dimming rear-view mirror. In addition, you may also choose the Premium package for the T5 model which includes 8-way power passenger seat, the leather upholstery and auto dimming rear view mirror.

The XC60 has been equipped with the 17 inches wheels while the T6 R-Design model includes special styling, unique 18 inches wheels, and sport-tuned suspension along with the aggressive rear spoiler. You will get the blind-spot warning system along with the front and rear parking sensors when you pick the stand-alone options for all models. Furthermore, there will be the Dynamic package for the T5 model which includes 18 inches wheels and the sport-tuned suspension and selectable steering settings. The T6 model provide an adaptive suspension named Four-C which has chassis tuning from the T5 Touring and the 17 inch wheels at no cost.

Engine

Under the bonnet, the Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 engine with front-wheel-drive system that will generate 250 hp (faster than 2014 Ford Explorer and 2014 Toyota Fortuner)and 266 lb-ft. of torque. The standard transmission of this model will be the 6-speed automatic. The base T5 model can run from zero to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds and the fuel economy is at 20 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined. The T6 model with AWD system boasts the 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine that makes 300 hp and 325 pound-feet of torque. Using the standard six-speed auto transmission, this car can accelerate 60 mph in about 6 seconds.
