Chevrolet Volt

Unchanged As the first-generation Volt finishes its five-year life cycle, the four-passenger car will remain mostly unchanged. However, a new redesigned Volt remains on the horizon and could arrive in late 2015, most likely as a 2016 model. This means the current Volt will continue to offer 38 miles of electric-only range before the gas engine kicks in to run the car’s electric motor.

Chrysler 200

All-new The Chrysler 200 is (finally) all-new. It sports upscale styling, refined interiors, and modern powertrains. No longer an embarrassing rental-lot special, the 200 comes standard with a 2.4L I-4 making 184 hp and 173 lb-ft of torque. A 3.6L V-6 making 295 hp and 262 lb-ft is optional. A nine-speed(!) automatic is standard across the board. Front-drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional on V-6 models. The convertible is history.

Driver's Choice The sporty all-wheel-drive 200S.

Chrysler 300/SRT

Major The Chrysler 300 is expected to be significantly updated for 2015. The revised 300 will have higher-quality materials inside and an eight-speed automatic on the V-6 and V-8. New features should include a 7-inch reconfigurable instrument cluster display and adaptive cruise control that can come to a complete stop. (2014 model pictured.)

Look For The hotter SRT model to return at the top of the 300 lineup.

Dodge Challenger/SRT Hellcat

Base Price $27,500-$55,000*

Body Type Coupe

Major The Hellcat has arrived, and it’s above the SRT's uprated 485-hp 6.4L V-8. While the Challenger SRT now makes 485 hp, the SRT Hellcat gets a supercharged 6.2L V-8 producing 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The Challenger has been restyled inside and out, with the taillights featuring a total of 144 LEDs. A 3.6L V-6 and 5.7L V-8 are still available.

Cool Fact The SRT Hellcat's supercharged 6.2L V-8 is the most powerful V-8 ever produced by the Chrysler Group.
