We’ve already seen leaked pictures,
undisguised spy shots and official photos of the interior, and now the all-new
Mercedes S-Class has been revealed as a 1:18-scale model. But these are the
last preview pictures we’ll see, as the luxury car is scheduled to be
officially revealed at a special event in Hamburg, Germany
The photos, which show the S-Class from
every angle, are believed to represent the finished product perfectly, and
tally with a single leaked image we brought you in Issue 1,267. But while that
depicted an AMG-spec car with a body kit, aggressive front bumper and 20-spoke
wheels, here we can show you a much less sporty version, with smaller wheels.
Now
the all-new Mercedes S-Class has been revealed as a 1:18-scale model.
As with all new S-Classes, technology and
interior comfort take precedence over styling, and this latest model will set
new standards. Most of the systems are controlled via two enormous 12.3-inch TFT
screens embedded in the dashboard - one for the infotainment functions and one
to replace the analogue dials. New seats promise to pamper all occupants with
rapid heating and cooling functions, plus a hot stone massage setting.
In the rear, the seats can recline - as in
the discontinued Maybach limo. Entertainment possibilities are endless as well,
with rear screens, wireless headphones and a 1,500W Burmester stereo.

A raft of cutting-edge safety kit will
debut on the S-Class before filtering down to other Mercedes. It includes a
system that flashes the LED lights at pedestrians the car senses ahead in the
dark, and a sensor that predicts rear impacts and braces the car accordingly.
