Searching for a Contact

As you begin linking multiple accounts to your phone, there’s a good chance that you will accumulate a rather long list of contacts. Thankfully, you don’t have to scroll through the full list of contacts every time you need to find someone specific. Instead, you can do a search. To search for a contact, open the People hub and follow these steps:

1. Tap the Search icon.

2. Enter the name you want to search for. You can search for the first or last name.

Using Jump Lists to Find a Contact

Another way of quickly locating contacts is to browse for contacts using jump lists. Jump lists let you jump to a specific letter of the alphabet in the alphabetical list of contacts. To use a jump list, open the People hub and complete these steps:

1. Tap a letter of the alphabet. You can tap any letter, regardless of what you are searching for.

2. Tap the letter you want to jump to. This letter should correspond to the first or last name of the person you want to search for.
