The tile-based IE10 offers you a few Page Tools options, as well as application-specific charms. The choices offered to you by these tools are both limited and important.
The Page Tools menu
The Page Tools menu lets you:
• Get an app for this site
• Find items on a page
• Switch to the Desktop interface
Notice that the Page Tools button has a + (plus sign) on it. This indicates that the website offers some
special content, usually an application that you can download from the
Windows Store. Without this option, the Get App For This Site option is
disabled and you don’t see the plus sign on the tool icon.
To search on the current page
1. Click the Page Tools button.
2. Select the Find On Page command .
3. Enter the search string into the Find field that appears to the right of the address bar .

4. Tap or click the Next button to find the next match beyond your current position on the page.

Tap or click the Previous button to search back before your current position.
As you enter a search string, the tile-based
IE displays the number of matches it finds and highlights them in
yellow on the page. The current position is indicated by a blue
highlight.
To switch from the tile-based IE10 to Desktop IE10
1. Click the Page Tools button.
2. Select the View On The Desktop command .
The same page you are viewing appears in Desktop IE.
To show the tile-based IE as a sidebar of the Desktop
1. Drag the browser to the side of the screen, as shown in .
The tile-based IE appears here as the left sidebar, with the Desktop to the right.
2. Use the slider to enlarge the browser to two-thirds of the display, close it, or make it full screen.
Tip
Press Ctrl+. (period) to move the tile-based IE10 sidebar to the other side of the display.
