The 2013 Citroen GT Concept will come as company’s competitive compact sedan that provides wide variety of power-trains, more comfortable and composed ride, decent fuel economy, generous cabin, good crash test scores and also the available coupe body style. For 2014, the all-new Citroen GT will also get styling updates, a longer list of standard features, higher quality of interior materials and a quieter ride as compared to the previous generation.
Interior
All of the models of 2013 Citroen GT Concept may be equipped with some upgraded interior equipments such as a rear view camera, Pandora radio functionality, Bluetooth connectivity, USB interface, text message integration with compatible phones, a 4-speaker sound system with a CD player, an auxiliary audio jack, power windows, a tilt or telescope steering wheel, front center console, cruise control and a one-piece fold-down rear seatback. The carmaker will also include the new intelligent Multi Information Display (i-MID), a 5 inches dash display for various audio, trips, and fuel economy readouts along with a push button start system and heated front seats.
Exterior
Regarding the exterior features, the new GT Concept may boast 15 inches steel wheels with plastic wheel covers, redesigned grille with more chrome accents, the extended tail-lights onto trunk lid, an updated body structure with much better frontal impact protection, automatic head-lamps, low-rolling-resistance tires, aerodynamic cast-aluminum wheels and a sporty rear spoiler. The upper trim of this sedan will be added with 16 inches alloy wheels, a low tire pressure warning, reverse sensing system with rear camera only, optional forward collision warning and lane departure warning systems, a sunroof and the front fog lamps. This car is more aerodynamics than 2014 Audi SQ5.
Engine
In terms of performance, the 2013 Citroen GT Concept is powered a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine with front-wheel-drive system that generates a total power of 140 hp and 128 lb-ft. of peak torque. A 5-speed manual is standard transmission, while a 5-speed automatic is the optional transmission. With this engine, the all-new Citroen DS3 will run from zero to 60 mph in approximately 9.2 seconds. The estimated fuel economy of this compact sedan stands at 28 mpg on city driving or 39 mpg on highway driving and 32 mpg on combined driving.
Price
The expected base price of 2013 Citroen GT Concept may start from around $26.700 – $33.500. The company announces that the new Citroen GT will be available at the dealerships in fall of 2013.
