British
retailer John Lewis is set to launch two new collections available for the
Spring/Summer 2014 season. The first collection, named simply 'The Collector'
was already debuted at London's Menswear Fashion Week back in June last year.
John Lewis will also roll out another new line by the lifestyle label
'Kin'.
'The
Collector' is a mixture of vintage styles teamed with modern minimalism which
includes luxurious finishing touches and locally sourced fabrics such as the
famous Harris Tweed. Nick Keyte, Head of Menswear Buying, commented on the
new range of designs which will include 90 pieces in total. He
said: “What’s key to our male shopper today is quality, fabrication and
provenance – all of which John Lewis & Co delivers. Designed entirely
in-house and inspired by our rich heritage and vast archives, John Lewis &
Co brings together the highest quality fabrics, uncompromising design details
and traditional English manufacturing techniques.”
'Kin'
by John Lewis has a modern, youthful take on men's fashion. The 100-piece
collection uses subtle yet quirky patterns and a whole range of accessories.
Featuring 100 items in total, the collection boosts iPad cases, outerwear and a
mixture of accessories as well as the main designs available. Speaking on the
Kin collection Nick Keyte commented that Kin should meet the demand of most
fashion-forward men: “With the Kin fashion collection performing so well
and with high demand from our customers, branching into new fashion territories
felt like the next natural step for Kin.”
Both
Spring/Summer 2014 collections land in stores and online from February 1st
2014.
