The Oscars
2014 are always eventful, star-studded and filled with some amazing designer
ensembles. Here is a look at the best dressed men on the evening – some who
took style risks or showed off their originality, and others who played it cool
and classic for Hollywood’s biggest annual event.
1. Jared Leto
Jared Leto
took home the award for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role at the 2014
Oscars, but he was also the best dressed man (by far) on the night. Not going
for the traditional black&white tux, Jared shook things up in a white
blazer, white shirt and red bowtie. He left his signature long ombre hair down
and added patent loafers to complete the look.
2. Kevin Spacey
Thankfully
also avoiding the standard boring black look, Kevin Spacey opted for a navy
suit which featured black silk lapels and a black bowtie. Adding a black watch
for another touch of luxury, Kevin’s look stands out as a little different and
still looks handsome and perfect for the event.
3. Leonardo DiCaprio
He may have
been left disappointed when he missed out on an Oscar but Leonardo DiCaprio at
least nailed red carpet dressing for the night. Although sticking to a simple
black tux, the well tailored pieces flattered him and he looks as though he’s
channelling a number of vintage iconic Hollywood actors.
4. Pharrell Williams
The award
for biggest style risk goes to Pharrell Williams. The ‘Happy’ singer opted for
a black tux with shorts and grey brogues, showing off his tattooed legs. It may
not have been completely classy considering the prestigious event, but it
showed his enduring sense of style that never fails to think outside of the box
– and you have to give him credit for always doing his own thing.
5. Zac Efron
While Zac
Efron wasn’t picking up any awards at the event, he did show off his great red
carpet style. Sticking to tailored black trousers and a black suit jacket, he
added a perfect skinny tie to give the look a modern twist.
