2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class is basically the redesigned model of the original S-Class. The company states that no less than 6 brand new S-Class models will be introduced to the market this year. For the first introduction, the German automaker will present the standard and the long-wheelbase models. The coupe and 4-door convertible variants are also rumored to be in the works. But however it’s unlikely we’ll hear more about these rumors until next year. The limousine model will be manufactured as the brand new platform and will be available in both SWB and LWB versions along with RWD and AWD configurations.
Interior
Inside of the 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class, you will find the revised COMAND interface. There will be the expansive screen in the center stack and the additional buttons around the nifty hand rest and dial controller near the center console. In the dash, there is a display that has almost the same size as the COMAND monitor. This display will show the analog-look gauges with a big information center in between.
Exterior
The exterior design of 2014 Mercedes S-Class will be more evolutionary than revolutionary with most differences focused in the details rather than the shape itself. Amazingly, the all-new S-Class models will be included with the new advanced pedestrian detection feature that will combine the radar and camera systems. Also, the system will use this radar to detect potential obstacles on the road ahead. Afterwards, this system will then utilize cameras to more proficiently interpret and determine whether the obstacle is real and potentially hazardous. Moreover, the system will be capable of working together with the Emergency Steer Assist feature. This helpful feature may assist the driver to safely swerve around an obstacle when appropriate. This car is as stylish as with 2014 Porsche Panamera and absolutely bigger than 2013 Kia Rio.
Engine
For the performance booster, the 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class has been equipped with the twin-turbo 4.8 liters V8 engine. The machine will also be configured with a renewed capacity V6 with V8 and V12 gasoline fuel used and paired with 4 cylinders engine with a capacity. There are also the V6 diesel version and the plug-in hybrid models with the addition of an auto transmission. The hybrid is fast gaining traction among prosperous consumers. For the illustration, the S400 Hybrid has gained a great success almost everywhere. There’s also a report that all of the variants of the model will get an automatic gearbox as standard.
Price
The 2014 Mercedes Benz S-Class may arrive in September at Paris Motor Show. The pricing has not been revealed.
