Windows Phone 8 : Microsoft Outlook Mobile (part 3) - Opening an Attachment

Opening an Attachment

If a message contains an attachment, you can view the attachment by following these steps:

1. Tap the message to open it.

2. Tap the attachment to download it.

3. When the attachment has finished downloading, tap the attachment to open it. Windows Phone 8 automatically opens the application that is associated with the attachment file type (assuming that such an application is installed on the phone).

Unknown File Types

If an email message contains an unknown file type, Windows Phone 8 devices still downloads the attachment, but are unable to open it.
