The 2013 Fiat 500E has been built to provide additional utility to the regular model of 500L hatchback. For 2014, this car will be included with more practical design, roomy seating, larger cargo capacity, and more gorgeous and sophisticated features as compared to the usual compact hatchback in the market. This car will be offered in four main trim levels which include Pop, Easy, Trekking and Lounge.

Interior

In terms of the interior, the 2013 Fiat 500E Living equips a leather upholstery, a dual-panel sunroof, a 6.5 inches touch screen with an advanced navigation system, a rear view camera, standard 5 inches touch screen, Bluetooth wireless data link for hands-free phone and audio streaming, SMS readout feature, a color buffet of interior trim combinations and an exciting 6-speaker Beats by Dr. Dre sound system. The other expected interior features of Fiat 500E are air conditioning system for the rear compartment with independent controls, adjustable steering column, leather steering wheel, glove compartment and digital clock, several comfort and convenience features such as remote trunk opener, remote fuel lid opener, low fuel warning light, accessory power outlet, trunk light, vanity mirror, rear reading lamp, rear seat headrest, rear seat centre arm rest, height adjustable front seat belts, cup holders-front, cup holders-rear and rear A/C vents.

Exterior

On the outside, the all new Fiat 500E (smaller than 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage) will include standard 18 inches aluminum wheels, reworked front and rear fascias, compact spare tire, variable intermittent wipers, power sunroof, privacy glass, rear defogger, rear window wiper, 205/55r16 tires, all season tires, fixed lift-gate window and rear lift-gate door. Additionally, this car will also equip ventilated front disc/solid rear disc-brakes, front fog/driving lights and daytime running lights.

Engine

As the performance booster, the new Fiat 500E will have a turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that will deliver 160 hp (lower than 2014 Ford Focus RS)and 184 lb-ft. of peak torque. The standard transmission option will be a 6-speed traditional manual, while the optional transmission is a 6-speed automated manual that will send power to the front wheels. With this engine, the car can sprint from zero to 60 mph in about 6.7 seconds.

Price

The base price of 2013 Fiat 500E starts from $18.100 – $19.900. The carmaker stated that this new Fiat 500E will make its world premiere along with the Fiat 500L Living in July 2013 on the sixth anniversary of the Fiat 500 lineups. The tough rivals of this car will be the Mazda 5.
