The automaker states that the all-new Dodge Durango may reassert itself among its strong competitors in the segment of modern SUV. The other advantages of having the new Dodge Durango are sophisticated ride, adult-friendly third-row seat, and powerful optional V8 engine along with the munificent towing capacity. The 2014 Dodge Durango will be offered in five different trim levels namely SXT, Rallye, Limited, R/T and Citadel. The company elaborates that the first production of this SUV is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2013.

The standard exterior features of all new Durango are 19 inches alloy wheels with performance tires, aggressive rear spoiler, a brand new split crosshair grille, keyless entry/ignition, automatic headlights redesigned projector-beam headlamps, raised front bumper, a chrome grille surround with bright chrome texture for Citadel trim, black headlamp bezels, bi-xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, standard projector fog lamps, and revised lower front fascia that gives a wider and more aggressive look. There will be also higher-performance suspension along with the revised stability control programming.
Engine
Under the bonnet, the all new Durango is powered by a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine that will deliver 290 hp and 260 lb-ft. of maximum torque. There is also an optional 5.7-liter V8 engine that can generate 360 hp (greater than 2013 Toyota Avalon and 2014 Kia Cadenza Engine Capacity) and 390 lb-ft of maximum torque. The transmission of Durango takes advantage of a rotary gear selector system. In order to provide driver with more precise control during gear changes, the carmaker has added steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters to this SUV.
