The 2014 Kia Forte Koup is basically one of the impressive 4-door sedans that comes with inclusive improvements and has the ground-breaking styling as compared to other new sedans in its class. This sedan has made its world premiere at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. Forte Koup may be offered in two different trim levels including EX and SX which is similar with the regular Forte models.
Interior
For the interior, the 2014 Kia Forte Koup will offer a little less space for the passengers than before. The tall passengers will simply not be comfortable, however most adults and everyone smaller will get adequate space in the outboard seats. The higher model may be added with Uvo eServices with rear camera display, leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise control buttons and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column. The SX model offers the seats with carbon-fiber-style accents. The optional interior of both models are the navigation system with HD radio, 10-way adjustable power driver seat, heated front seats and cooled driver seat and dual-zone climate control.
Exterior
Outside, the all new Forte Koup comes with apparently lower, longer and wider styling than 2013 Fiat 500E. The car comes with a 106.3 inches wheelbase which is 2 inches higher than the previous model. Also, Kia Forte has been included with a coupled torsion-beam rear axle along with the MacPherson strut front suspension. The Kia Forte EX has been equipped with standard 16-inch alloy wheels, power windows and LED positioning headlights with fog-lights. The exterior features of SX version are the standard 18-inch alloy wheels, dual chrome exhaust tips, aggressive front fascia with larger bumper than 2013 Mistubishi Mirage and grille openings, black gloss grille inserts, larger front brakes, alloy sport pedals and LED taillights. The optional exterior features of both models are the HID headlights and sunroof.
Engine
Under the hood, the Forte Koup comes with a 2.0-liter GDI 4-cylinder engine with 6-speed automatic transmission only. This engine can generate 173 horsepower. Another engine option will be the turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with a standard 6-speed manual transmission and the optional 6-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. This engine can produce 201 horsepower.
Price
The expected price range of 2014 Kia Forte Koup may start from about $16.500 and it will be made available in the fourth quarter of 2013. The real challengers of this sedan will be the Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic, Mazda 3 and Hyundai Elantra.
