Interior

This latest model of 2014 Toyota Fortuner base model boasts the attractive interior design that is similar with the new Avalon and Camry models. Inside, you will see that the cabin has a distinctly modern look and the better quality of its interior materials. At the back, there will be a 38.4 cubic feet of cargo space and it can be expanded to 73.3 cubes when the second row is folded. The other standard interior features are air-conditioning, cruise control, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, split and reclining second-row seat, rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and 6-speaker sound system, 6 inches touch screen, CD player, auxiliary audio jack and iPod/USB audio interface.

The Fortuner base model has the 17 inches steel wheels (standard), automatic headlights, power folding mirrors, intermittent wipers, rear defogger, intermittent rear wiper and rear privacy glass. The Fortuner XLE model includes 17 inches alloy wheels, fog lights, heated side mirrors, roof rails, sunroof and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Fortuner Limited trim offers the 18 inches alloy wheels, height-adjustable power lift-gate and auto-dimming rearview mirror. The top model of EV trim level will provide you with 17 inches wheels, LED headlights and hard-shell spare tire cover. This car is bigger than 2014 Kia Forte Koup Turbo, 2014 Audi RS7, 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, and 2014 Toyota Camry, 2014 Fiat 500X, 2013 Cadillac Elmiraj, 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera.

Engine

In terms of performance and power-train, the Fortuner is backed up by 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that can generate 176 hp and 172 lb-ft. of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed automatic and this SUV offers either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive system. This car can accelerate from zero to 60 in about 9 seconds using the front-wheel-drive system. The Toyota Fortuner model boasts a single 115kW electric motor that can generate the equivalent of 154 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. The Fortuner higher model can sprint from zero to 60 mph in a swift 7.2 seconds.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of 2014 Toyota Fortuner starts from $23.300 – $27.010 (cheaper than 2013 BMW 320i but it’s more expensive than 2014 Toyota Altis).
