British-based
designer J.W. Anderson first launched his menswear designs back in 2008 and
he's now adapted his unique style for a full 8 piece collection which has
launched exclusively via men's online store Mr. Porter. J.W. Anderson has already previously
designed a collection for Topshop and recently collaborated with Versus to
design a once-off collection for the label. The designer, widely
acknowledged as one of the most exciting on the London design scene currently, has
pieced together classic items that include some of his past design signatures,
including a navy anchor inspired logo jumper which uses his personal brand
motif. Mr. Porter said about the stand-out design: "Emblazoned
with the British brand's striking emblem, J.W Anderson's crew neck sweater will
add a shot of London attitude to your pared-back staples. Constructed from
cotton-jersey and backed with plush fleece, this piece feels as good as it
looks."
And
on the designer himself, Mr. Porter describe his work as
"progressive" and state that he has formed a youthful label that
captures London's spirit: "Progressive designer Mr Jonathan Anderson
is at the forefront of London's style, carving a unique look with his
rebellious, non-conformist attitude. Look out for unusual cuts and fabrics from
this dynamic young label." The collection includes several other key
wardrobe items such as a denim biker jacket, fitted trousers, shorts, a printed
t-shirt and two cotton white shirts - the designs are casual and wearable with
a quirky edge. J.W. Anderson's new 8 piece collection for Mr. Porter is
now currently on sale.
