Approaching
the new season with a light-hearted and fun-filled approach, American brand
Penfield's Spring/Summer 2014 collection is all about not taking life too
seriously. Bold floral prints clash with other patterns which are splashed on
relaxed shirts, waterproof jackets and sweaters. The company, who specialize in
creating designs that are easy to wear outdoors no matter what the season, have
put together a selection of spring-ready designs that are easy to wear,
comfortable and still stand out from the crowd. There are plenty of casual
looks to wear on a daily basis, including several skate-inspired ensembles such
as shorts combined with a space-dye red sweater. Penfield also layer up looks
to create ensembles that are easy to wear in spring and prepare you for any
weather.
As
for eveningwear, there are several tailored pieces, including a statement
floral print blazer and a paisley shirt which could be adapted for use during
the day or night depending on the styling. The collection is at heart created
for casual wear, with relaxed unfussy fits and bright spring-inspired details.
There are even some preppy sweaters and several pairs of basic shorts that are
just the perfect length for a hot summer's day. There is also a tropical feel
to some of the printed designs and the lookbook promotes clashing and mixing to
the wear's content - a bold move that is also relaxing and proves that fashion
can still have a sense of fun and look just as good.
The
Penfield Spring/Summer 2014 Collection launches online on February 27th on the
company's official website.
