19-year-old
British Olympic diver Tom Daley has just landed a lucrative gig as the new
face of the Adidas Neo campaign in the United Kingdom, while the Neo brand will
continue to be represented by Justin Bieber in the USA. The diver, who
regularly appears on tv show Splash! was unveiled as the new face as he starred
in some new promotional images for the sports company's collection. The designs
include a casual mix of trainers, jeans, t-shirts, accessories and sweaters.
Speaking on the new partnership, Tom commented that he is a big fan of Adidas
and is honored to the face of Neo especially.
He
also adds that his favourite design from the collection is a sweater he has
been wearing regularly and he loves the fun vibe of the collection overall: "It's
great to be working with Adidas on their NEO label. It's a fun collection
and it's constantly changing. The jumper I wore for the NEO shoot is one
of my favourites at the moment." Tom says he loves the sweater design
the most because it is different to a standard piece and it's still easy to
throw on when he's finished training, combining easily with
jeans: "It's a twist on a standard jumper and it's exactly what I
like to throw on after training with a pair of jeans."
Tom
will now wear the new Adidas Neo pieces while appearing on Splash! finale show
which airs this Saturday on British tv channel ITV. The new campaign marks the
star athlete's first move in to advertising.
